Böhmischer Prater und Laaer Berg in Wien

The Bohemian Prater is a small amusement park at the south-eastern edge of Vienna, situated on the Laaer Berg. It dates to the second half of the 19th century and today it seems as if time had passed more slowly there. The attractions and some restaurants are lined up on a street which is just about 400 m long. I took the photos on Friday morning, so most of the attractions were closed.

Beautiful landscape :) Lucky you, it´s summertime there...
The park looks like it belongs in a horror movie :P

that's similar to what I thought when I was there. It looks as if time had stood still there. I barely come to this corner of Vienna so it was really surprising. The surroundings there (meadows, woods) also seem to be misplaced for a big city but that's the charm of this place. I ate an excellent and cheap Wiener Schnitzel there - Take a look! ;-)
