Vienna - Easter Market Freyung

20. Altwiener Ostermarkt auf der Freyung

In the final days before Easter, the Freyung Easter market is one of many markets of this kind. The market inhabits a small cobblestone plaza in the first district and is authentic, cozy, and rustic in its aesthetics and offerings. The focal point of the market is the huge display area of hand-decorated eggs for sale in the center of the market stalls.

Ein traditioneller Ostermarkt im Zentrum Wiens, sehenswert ist u.a. Europas größter Eierberg.

Stunning photography.

Is that the Hofburg in your title pic? How did you manage to get the elevated angle to shoot it from?

Thanks

My title pic shows Schönbrunn Palace which is located in the outskirts of Vienna, the Hofburg being in the center of the city.

I shot the picture from the hill where the Gloriette is. From there you have a good view on the Palace and the Western / Northern part of Vienna.

I'll post the whole photo and the Gloriette in the next minutes...
